I woke up Christmas morning to quite a surprise…but I don't think it's what you might expect. I woke up to find my husband missing from our home. Yes, GONE! It was 6:30 a.m., still dark outside, and I was wandering around our place looking for him. He had "disappeared"! And you'll never guess, unless you know me well, what was running through my mind… I had thoughts of the rapture. "Had Jim been taken Home to Heaven by our Savior on Christmas Day?" And if so, "Why was I still here?" I got to experience, for just a moment, what it might be like to not be “ready” when Jesus comes for those that believe in Him as their Savior.

Now, these thoughts were quick, and not to such an extent of panic that I ran screaming from my house waking the neighbors. But suffice it to say, it made for an interesting few moments…until I looked to see if Jim’s phone was still beside his bed, and it wasn't. So I called him, and he answered to tell me that he was on his way home. You see, Jim maintains ATM's, and he was working on Christmas Day. Since he already had some calls come in, in the wee morning hours, he decided to go out and fix them so he could be with us all at the kids’ house at 7:30, enjoying the festivities of the day.

So, no rapture…just broken ATM’s. But this is an experience I wanted to share with all of you, especially after reading the book, “Four Blood Moons,” by John Hagee. I am not in complete agreement with all that Hagee had to say, but most of it. I can’t possibly go into all that the book contains here. But after reading it, I believe 2014-2015 could be quite a time in earth’s history for Israel, and also all who call on Jesus as Lord, especially when we consider, The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord. (Joel 2:31 NIV) Hagee asks at the end of his book, “Are you ready?” Are we? Are we ready to meet Jesus, whatever day He may come back for His church? I want to be, because, Two men will be working together in the field; one will be taken, the other left. (Matthew 24:40 NLT) I don’t want to be left here toiling on earth when the best party of all time is going on in Heaven!!

When Searching And Noticing the Divine, you have to …look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near. (Luke 21:28) For you know quite well that the day of the Lord’s return will come unexpectedly, like a thief in the night . (1 Thess. 5:2 NLT) Jim was GONE, like a thief had come in the middle of the night and taken him. I hadn’t heard a thing… I had to ask myself in those few moments of not finding him, “Was I not ready?” Have you ever asked yourself the same question? “Am I ready and waiting for Jesus’ return?” He will come again, not to deal with our sins, but to bring salvation to all who are eagerly waiting for him. (Hebrews 9:28b NLT) Amen!
